Great audience enthusiasm - laughter when it was amusing plus ooos and aaahs for the amazing.

Two presentation segments

* Gardens and Flowers In History and Art - images and stories about gardens and flowers, some about the subject in the artwork, others look at the work of art itself, the artist and the why behind his painting.

* The History of Tulips: the Boom and Bust economics of tulips in 17th century Holland.  It begins with the surprising origins and introduction of the tulip to Europe, then the soaring prices in Holland, the crash, and lots more - all told through artwork of the time including the magnificent "vanitas" still-lifes of the flemish period.
