UPCOMING DATES

28th May  11 am     Westmount One            "Manuscript Miscellany"

The era of the handwritten manuscript as the only vehicle of
of knowledge in Europe lasted about 800 yrs, ending with the arrival
of the printing press and paper at the end of the 15th century.
During that time the written word also became the illuminated
word, soaring ultimately to rich and voluptuous works
such as the Tres Riche Heures - behind whose creation lies
an incredible story of youthful artists and the lust for beauty.
An hour of amazing artwork leavened by Bestiaries and
the satirical and humorous illuminations that live in borders
                  and bas page designs.

3rd July    3.15 pm  Kensington Place        (subject to follow)
